Each knowledge assessment was created to measure specific skill areas targeted to the topic/position they were created for. For example, the Knowledge for Leaders measures your knowledge in 8 critical leadership skill areas and the Knowledge for Teams measures 6 skill areas needed for effective team dynamics. The knowledge assessment that you are being asked to complete will help you to identify your strengths as well as any developmental areas specific to the assessment you have completed. It will aid you in identifying and prioritizing the skill areas where you should focus your future developmental efforts.

Generally yes, there is one best answer to each question. You should choose the response you believe to be the best answer. In a rare instance, we have decided to accept more than one response as the correct answer. If you have a tough time choosing between two answers, choose the one answer you believe to be the best answer of the responses given.

No, there is no penalty for guessing. If you do not respond to a question, that response is counted as an incorrect answer. Answer each question to the best of your ability, choosing the response that you believe to be the best of the responses given.

If you have difficulty reading or understanding a question, feel free to ask your assessment administrator to help you understand what the question is asking. This assessment is not a test of your reading ability. The assessment is only designed to determine whether you know the most effective behavior. You may need to read the question more than once.

There are many factors that go into determining how long it will take you to complete the assessment. As a general rule, you should estimate 1 to 1.5 minutes per question. So a 120 question knowledge assessment will take between 2 to 3 hours to complete.

Depending on the length of the knowledge assessment it may not be feasible to complete the assessment in one sitting. Our system will bookmark your progress to allow for you to pick up where you left off when you return to the assessment. Please ensure you exit the assessment by utilizing the link to “exit and save assessment” to ensure your responses are saved. When taking the assessment, it is best to block out some time to complete it and take it in an environment where you are free from interruptions.

Each 360 assessment was created to measure specific skill areas targeted to the topic/position they were created for. Your raters will respond to each behavioral statement and results will be tabulated. You will be provided with a detailed report outlining your performance based on the input of your raters. 360 assessments utilize feedback from an individual’s peers, customers, direct reports, supervisor, etc. to provide feedback to the individual on their performance. If you were requested to rate someone, then that person, or your organization’s management, feels that you have observed the person’s work habits and are able to provide honest and accurate feedback for that person to aid in their development.

Yes, even though you may not have observed the person’s performance for many of the behavioral items, there is valuable feedback gained from your responses to the items you have observed. In many cases, the relationship you have with the person would not allow you to observe several of the items – for example a peer would not necessarily observe items that would primarily be observed by a direct report. If you can not respond to the item, please select n/a.

If you are asked to rate another individual and you are not the person’s supervisor, your responses are confidential. Your responses are tabulated and reported back to the person based on rater category to ensure responses remain confidential. All comments are reported back as a list based on the question asked. When providing comments, please be aware they are provided back to the person as you have written them, to remain confidential, please ensure the comments do not provide information that can be determined to be written by you. In rare instances, an organization will request another rater category, besides supervisor (for example the person’s mentor) to be non-confidential, prior to doing this, we check with our organization contact to ensure the person knows their responses will not be confidential.

To obtain a well-rounded picture of your performance as perceived by others, it is best to select feedback providers from more than one rater group. Your peers may have a different perception of your performance than your direct reports will. When selecting feedback providers, you want to please ask yourself a few key questions such as: Is this someone you would value receiving feedback from? Would you take action based on their feedback? Have they had the opportunity to observe your leadership behaviors for the past several (recommended 12) months? It is also best to select at least 3 raters for each rater category you use. (ie: direct report, peer, customer) Your manager is also a key person to receive feedback from, so ensure you select him/her to rate you also.

If you only have one direct report (peer, etc.) you can still include them as a rater. In portions of the report, the averages of the rater categories are broken out and you are able to see how each rater category responded. To ensure individual feedback is confidential, a rater group that has not met the threshold of total people needed in that group will not be broken out on your report. The responses provided by this individual will be included in overall results that are provided. So in this case, you would not see direct reports broken out as a category on your report.

Normally, when added raters, you are able to add a total of 10 raters. In some cases, your organization has arranged for more raters to be added. We recommend that you select at a minimum 6 raters. In many cases, all the selected raters do not complete the assessment, the fewer raters selected, the more critical it is for everyone to complete in order to obtain the most out of your report.

To aid in confidentiality, we do not provide the information on who has and has not completed the assessment. If you added your raters, you are able to view the total number of responses received from your rater status page. For example 3 out of 4 peers, but we do not identify who did not complete.

If you added your raters into our system, you will have an “Update 360 Feedback List” link in the menu. Select that link. A list of your 360 assessments will be displayed. Select the “Rater Status” link for the appropriate 360. A list of raters selected and group completion status will be listed.

It takes approximately 20 minutes to complete a 360 assessment. Since each 360 assessment is a different length, the time may vary depending on the number of behavioral statements on the specific assessment. It may also vary depending on the amount of time spent on providing written comments.

In order for a Skillsoft e-learning course to be marked as complete, you must score 70% or better on the course, and must go through the entire course. Once you complete the course, it will immediately show up as completed under your “My Progress” tab. Skillsoft courses are updated in the Edge Training site once each business day and will show as completed once updated. If it has been more than 4 business days since you completed your course and it is not showing as completed on your Edge transcript, please contact our support staff for assistance.

After you log into the e-learning click on the “My Progress” tab. Click on the “Completed” tab. Specify the duration (last 90 days, last 12 months, custom) and once the list appears, a link will be available where you can print a certificate of completion.
